ESSE was hired to create and execute the U.S. premiere for Wilde Salome. The film's leading man and Director Al Pacino, captured audiences at the 2011 Venice Film Festival. Mr. Pacino and Producer Barry Navidi, agreed that maintaining the integrity of the film for the U.S. debut would require more than just the ordinary Hollywood red carpet, the duo saw San Francisco as a cultural art hub that would appreciate the film's theatrical nature, becoming the stage for the premiere.
A rare opportunity in itself to host an actor and visionary of of Mr Pacino's caliber, ESSE aimed to create an event that San Francisco would always remember. ESSE designed and executed the entire evening from the film's unveiling at the famed Castro Theater to the post soiree at the world renowned Fairmont Hotel. Securing national press including the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, CBS, NBC news, ABC, Hollywood Reporter, Wilde Salome became the year's most anticipated event.
350 VIP guests attended the historical Castro venue for the premiere, among them: the one and only Al Pacino, the fashion visionary Jean Paul Gaultier, actress Dita Von Teese, as well as Joane Chenn, Peter Coyote, Robin Williams, along with SF notable figures Gavin and Jennifer Siebel Newsome, Randy Zuckerberg, and film enthusiasts alike.
ESSE was hired to launch Actor Topher Grace’s media site, Cereal Prize.
Cereal Prize is a pop-culture enthusiast heaven for recuts films, Hollywood insider clips, and never before seen material. Rivaling a “BuzzFeed” media genre, ESSE’s task was not just to expose the site but set it apart for its unique spin as a celebrity authored media source and something that could ultimately bring fans closer to the celebrity world.
The media ate it up. From Entertainment Tonight, to Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, Just Jared, Perez Hiltion, Mashable, TheWrap, Huffington Post, USA Today, the list goes on, all naming Cereal Prize to set the tone for the future of celebrity driven content.
ESSE didn’t stop there, we knew to make it stick we had to get in with the “geek” media. We worked with Mr. Grace to develop exclusive content for sci- fi and film specific blogs. Cereal Prize quickly gained a reputation and fan favorite recognition among various niche media with more than 1.4 billion impressions in month one.

ESSE launched a national media campaign for the voice to social media app, Just Sayin’. Co-founded by comedian Ricky Gervais and CloudTalk voice technologies, ESSE aimed to walk a fine line between both entertainment and social media specific media. ESSE launched the app with appearances on The Conan O'Brien Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, as well as Enterntainment Weekly, Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times, USA Today, Mashable, TechCrunch and helped deliver upwards of 500,000 downloads, with on-going social media driven campaigns. The frenzy ultimately led to a partnership with Twitter, providing on-page API integration for Just Sayin’, to date only a handful of applications are Twitter API approve.
